THE OFFICE OF MOTOR VEHICLES REQUIRES STUDENTS TO ACQUIRE THE TEMPORARY INSTRUCTIONAL PERMIT (TIP) IN ORDER TO HAVE THE LOUISIANA WRITTEN DRIVING TEST ADMINISTERED AND PARTICIPATE IN BEHIND-THE-WHEEL TRAINING. IF THE STUDENT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE 6-HOURS OF CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION, STUDENTS WILL BE CONTACTED WITH A TIME AND DATE TO CONDUCT THE BEHIND-THE-WHEEL TRAINING. WE ARE ONLY SCHEDULING DRIVE TIMES 2-WEEKS AT A TIME.

Our 14-hour pre-licensing course is for persons who are 18 yrs. old and older to receive a drivers license.  For this class, you will need a form of I.D. (birth certificate or state issued ID). The class begins at 8:00 a.m. and will end at 2:30 p.m. (be here for 8:00 a.m. for registration).  Once the class is successfully completed, a minimum of (8) hours (4 days, 2- hours per day) of Behind-the-Wheel Instruction are required. A calendar will be offered to schedule diving times.
